Sentence transformation 7

Key Word Transformations.


Remember that in this exercise, you need to re-write the information in the first sentence, using the word in bold type, which you can't change in any way, so that the second sentence has exactly the same meaning. You can use only a maximum of FIVE words for each space. Only use contractions for negatives: e.g. don't / hadn't / wouldn't, etc.



Finish the sentences below so that they mean exactly the same as the sentences printed before them.

  1. Although both his legs were broken in the crash, Tom managed to get out of the car before it exploded.
